Director/producer Nabeel Qureshi took to Twitter to say that that 2018 was a great year for Pakistani films. The filmmaker tweeted, “The year 2018, has been great for Pakistani films altogether, cinemas have earned more from Pakistani films instead of Bollywood/Hollywood films released this year. It is a big achievement – may it do great in 2019 as well.”

Films such as Teefa in Trouble, Load Wedding, Parwaaz Hai Junoon, Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2 and the animated film The Donkey King broke records at the Pakistani box office in 2018.
