PIA asks air hostesses to lose weight

The national flag carrier, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has directed its air hostesses to lose weight. According to media reports, a circular issued by PIA authorities stated that air hostesses should lose their weight by 25 pounds until February 1. The PIA further directed air hostesses to lose 20 more pounds in March, 15 in April, 10 in May and five pounds in June. The airline staff found over weight will be grounded. According to the conditions of the PIA, the air hostess of 5’5 height should not weigh more than 150 pounds. The PIA staff is concerned over these directives. They asked how they will be able to lose as much as 25 pounds in a month. The air hostesses said that they will challenge the directives if the circular is not withdrawn. Earier, the PIA terminated the services of three pilots and 50 cabin crew members for having fake degrees.
