NEW DELHI: After breaking his hand in the second one-day international in Cuttack, England opener Alex Hales was forced to be sidelined for the rest of the India tour on Friday.
According to the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) media release, while attempting a catch in the outfield on Thursday, Hales sustained an injury to his right hand. Scans revealed that he had fractured his hand.
Hales, who disappointed with scores of nine and 14 respectively in England’s two losses in the three-match series, will return home on Saturday to see a hand surgeon.
