ISLAMABAD: The judicial magistrate has sent Ansar Gondal, President Civilian Employees Cooperative Housing Society (CECHS), to Adiala jail on a 14-day judicial remand.

Shalimar Police has registered a case against Ansar Gondal in respect of a bounced cheque of Rs 2.5 million.

Shalimar Police had arrested Ansar Gondal on Thursday from the office of the CECHS. Another case of issuing a fake cheque of Rs 50 million by Ansar Gondal has also been registered against him by Ratta Amral Police Rawalpindi.

Ratta Amral Police had contacted the federal police and requested them to hand over Ansar Gondal to them. But Shalimar Police refused to hand over the accused to Ratta Amral Police without completing the court’s formalities.

The judicial magistrate on Friday ordered to send the accused to Adiala jail on a judicial remand. In the meantime the health of the accused deteriorated and he was taken to the PIMS for s medical check-up. He was administered medical treatment therein and later he was sent to Adiala jail.

Several cases of corruption against the office bearers of CECHS are under investigation with the police and the FIA.

President CECHS, Ansar Gondal and Secretary General CECHS, Yasir Mehdi, are facing corruption cases of billions of rupees. It is worth mentioning here that all these secrets of corruption were leaked by the general secretary Yasir Mehdi the before registrar cooperative. Ansar Gondal had also provided documentary evidence of corruption against Yasir Mehdi to the registrar cooperative.

The registrar cooperative and circle registrar office suspended them twice from their posts but they obtained a stay order from the court and sat on their seats.

Through the applications sent to the circle registrar and cooperative registrar the citizens charged the office bearers of the society with looting the citizens by creating commercial plots on the lands of others and later selling these plots to them.

These two office bearers returned this land to their original owners later but they did not return the money grabbed from the citizens.

These office bearers of CECHS changed plots allocated for schools, graveyards, colleges and parks into commercial plots and sold them out.

Well placed sources said that these accused are being fully backed by the corrupt elements of the circle registrar’s office and the CDA.

Sources said that when Ansar Gondal was brought to the PIMS for a check-up he was complaining of accelerated heart beats and increase in blood sugar. This worried the doctors and they did his check-up thoroughly. After the check-up Ansar Gondal was seen drowsy and convinced the doctors to let him stay in a room at hospital.
