QUETTA: The Balochistan Frontier Corps conducted intelligence based and counter terrorism operations in the province in the last week, arresting 81 suspects and seizing a huge cache of arms and ammunition.
The force, along with other law enforcement agencies, also carried out 32 cordon and search operations in Quetta in which young civilian volunteers also participated. The operations also extended to the Southern zone of Quetta, with areas such as Sibi, Sui, Dalbadin and Kahan targeted.
A large number of militants, which included members of the Balochistan Liberation Army as well as the Baloch Republican Army, surrendered to security forces, leading to increasing stability in these areas.
The force was also involved in the assistance of the civilian population during the recent snowfall which has adversely affected various areas of the province under the direction of
