Author: Press Release

After Kasur and Swat, Karachi welcomed the hologram of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, on Monday. A bigger city with bigger crowd witnessed a holographic speech by Jinnah which spoke about love, tolerance, peace, coexistence, religious harmony, and women empowerment.

The hologram was screened at four different places in Karachi with hundreds and thousands of people from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. Prior to the screening, young artists and musicians enthralled the audience by the tunes such as ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’ and other national songs.

Aamir Ibrahim, a college student attending the screening said, “It’s exactly what our grandparents have told us about Jinnah; his speeches were attended by the poor and rich, Christians and Muslims, men and women, and everyone would be completely mesmerised.”

Aamir Ibrahim, a college student attending the screening said, “It’s exactly what our grandparents have told us about Jinnah; his speeches were attended by the poor and rich, Christians and Muslims, men and women, and everyone would be completely mesmerised.”

The speech is a collection of various speeches of Jinnah when he addressed the nation during and after the creation of Pakistan. The purpose of the holographic speech was to remind and reawaken the values of brotherhood, tolerance, and unity that we as a nation have now forgotten. Since Jinnah is a figure everyone looks up to, his messages played an integral part in the strengthening of our country.

Prior to the hologram screenings, there were also workshops on countering violent extremism with youth, men, and women. The purpose of the workshops was to engage the participants over discussions on violent extremism, social cohesion, peace-building, and women empowerment. A total of five workshops were conducted before the hologram screenings.

Rabya Ahmad, one of the participants at the workshop at Advanced Learning Institute, Bihar Colony, said: “Reading and watching videos on Jinnah is something else but seeing him talk to us is something I’m anxiously waiting for. It is going to be a lifetime experience for sure.”

HIVE Pakistan- a social development company felt that the youth of Pakistan are forgetting the vision of Pakistan as imagined by Jinnah and therefore launched the campaign titled AIK – Better Together to reinvigorate a sense of social cohesion amongst Pakistanis beyond religious divides. HIVE Pakistan researched over a hundred speeches of Jinnah and created a master-speech using his own words.

The team of AIK – Better Together has already organised four screenings in Kasur and Swat and intends to take a tour to different cities of Pakistan. It isn’t only specific to open market and community places but in fact, institutions or organisations can also contact to have a screening in their area.
