ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Additional District and Sessions Judge Pervaiz ul Qadir Memon on Saturday sought help from the complainant’s lawyer in the Abdur Rasheed Ghazi murder case regarding the issuance of red warrants against former President Pervez Musharraf.

During the hearing, the Islamabad Deputy Commissioner told the court that the former President’s property has been confiscated.

The complainant has also sought issuance of red warrants against Musharraf for which the court sought help from Tariq Asad.

The judge asked the lawyer to provide legal guidance to the court about the issuance of the red warrants. The lawyer told the judge that the court has all legal rights of issuing the red warrants, adding that he would submit his complete reply in the next hearing.

The court adjourned the hearing until January 30.

On December 22, complainant Haroon Rasheed filed an application seeking directions for the Interior Ministry to issue red warrants against Musharraf as well as his extradition to Pakistan through Interpol. The court has admitted the application for hearing and sought the federation’s reply on it by January 21.
