NA speaker issues Khawaja Saad Rafique’s production order

ISLAMABAD: National Assembly (NA) Speaker Asad Qaiser has issued production order for Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique on Thursday.

Saad Rafique and his brother are currently in the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) custody in the Paragon Housing Society case.

Both PML-N leaders were arrested after the Lahore High Court (LHC) refused their request for an extension in their pre-arrest bail in the case on December 11.

The production order issued by NA Speaker Qaiser is under the NA’s rule No. 108 which states that a speaker can summon an under-custody lawmaker to appear before the assembly.
