Author: Staff Report

Former president Pervez Musharraf refused to pay the regularisation fees of his illegal farmhouse after a notification was issued by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Wednesday to regularise the farmhouse which was violating the rules and regulations of the civic agency.

An official of the civic agency while talking exclusively to Daily Times said that notices were served to Pervez Musharraf and others to regularise illegal farmhouses violating the laws of CDA but following the notification, the former president submitted a response to the building control department of CDA. In the notice, he made it clear that “I have already submitted a fine in response of my farmhouse to CDA and I will not pay any more fine in domain of regularisation”.

The former premier suggested that the CDA team can visit “my farm house to monitor my farmhouse if I have violated the laws”.

The official informed that he was unaware that when and where the former premier had submitted the fine to CDA regarding his illegal farmhouse and “we demand an explanation regarding the details of his claim”.

He added that the notice has been issued on special directives of the Supreme Court’s suo motu action that we will not spare anyone and he will submit the regularisation fees as well as the extra land grabbed by him will be demolished also.
