Pakistan is ever-ready to pounce on India

Modi wants to obliterate Pakistan, but he should know that Pakistan wills the Islamic world. We have not accepted the conspiracy that was plotted in Dhaka. Today Kashmiris are shoulder to shoulder with us. The day is not far when 300 million Muslims (of India) will similarly rise. Religious and political leaders expressed these views while addressing the Takmeel-i-Pakistan conference in Lahore. Hafiz Saeed was the main speaker. Ibtisam Elahi Zaheer said that the two-nation theory is our life. “Muslims and Hindus can never live together.”December 16 is the day of revenge, Fazlur Rahman Khalil said. Any change to the blasphemy law is intolerable for the entire ummah

Addressing the All Parties Tahaffuz Namoos-i-Rasalat  Conference in Lahore’s Samanabad neighbourhood, ulema from various sects said that any change to the blasphemy law is intolerable for the entire ummah (Nai Baat, December 13). We will fight the Qadiani (Ahmadi) conspiracy with full force. This conspiracy will be foiled, they resolved. Pakistan is facing naked aggression from it eternal enemy

Syed Zia Abbas, former federal minister and secretary general, Pakistan Muslim League (Qayyum Group), wrote in Nawa-i-Waqt, Islamabad, (December 13) that we are facing naked aggression from our azlidushman (eternal enemy), ie, India. Every day its troops subject Pakistan’s villages to firing and bombardment. Whenever it wants it stops supply of our share of water to Pakistan and whenever it wants it creates flood-like situation in our country by releasing extra water into the rivers. We need to bear in mind that Atal Behari Vajpayee, the BJP founder and former prime minister, had said a lot time ago. The next Pakistan-India war will be over water, he had said. He suggested that the profit rate of National Savings should be slightly raised and the public should be banned from withdrawing money within five years. In this way, we can raise 2.5 trillion rupees.

Fayaz Chauhan says that he is capable of doing PhD on Hitler

In his column, Dr Zahid Hassan Chughtai gave an account of a meeting between Rawalpindi-based writers and poets with Fayazul Hassan Chauhan, Punjab’s information minister. Mr. Chughtai respectfully pointed it out to him that he was perhaps unaware of the rigors that PhD scholars have to experience. You should do your PhD once you are out of government. Upon hearing this, Mr Chauhan said: “I made that remark in a light vein. However, I have done master’s in two subjects and I am capable of doing my PhD.

Nawa-i-Waqt says Indian people have rejected BJP’s anti-Pakistan agenda

Nawa-i-Waqt, arguably the most anti-Indian paper in Pakistan, says that by rejecting the BJP in five state elections, the Indian people have resoundingly expressed their desire to live in peace with Pakistan (Nawa-i-Waqt, December 13). “They have given a crushing response to the Modi government’s anti-Pakistan agenda.” It is a fact that by promoting extremism Narendra Modi tarnished the secular face of India. He converted India into a fanatical state. The paper declared that if the Modi government continues to pursue its policy of exacerbating hostility with Pakistan and if does not take the route of peace, the BJP’s defeat in the general election is writing on the wall.

Dr. Safdar Mahmood showers praise on Sarmila Bose

Lately, Dr. Safdar Mahmood, former education secretary and a recipient of the Pride of Performance for his outstanding contributions in the field of history, has been showering praise on Sarmila Bose, the Indian author of Dead Reckoning. In his Jang column of December 14, he credited her of exposing the false claims of Sheikh Mujib and exaggerated figures of Western media regarding death toll. On the basis of research, she has proven that all of this was a lie and that at most 4,500 Bengalis were killed. It is a worth reading book, but lamentably it has not yet been translated into Urdu.

In his column of December 18,he again praised her, saying that on the basis of extensive and objective research she wrote an impartial and scholarly book. She has also praised the performance of the Pakistani army, which fought under difficult circumstances. India imposed a full-scale war in which it enjoyed the support of the local population. It is worth mentioning that while writing on Al Jazeera’s website on May 9, 2011, she said that it had been falsely claimed that her book exonerated the Pakistani military from atrocities committed in East Pakistan in 1971. “In reality the book details over several chapters many cases of atrocities committed by the regime’s forces, so anyone who says it excuses the military’s brutalities is clearly lying.”
