New app TAMIS to help police determine nature, cause of road accidents

The Punjab police Traffic department prepared a modern application called Traffic Accident Management Information System (TAMIS) on Tuesday which enables traffic police to determine the reasons of an accident and the reasons behind it besides, the investigation and prosecution process could be expedited with the help of this app and future strategies could be devised to avoid such accidents with the help of TAMIS.

These views were expressed by Inspector General Police (IGP) Amjad Javed Saleemi while inaugurating the new app TAMIS. It has been prepared with collaboration of Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) at Traffic Headquarters, Qurban Lines.

On this occasion, Punjab Safe Cities Authority managing director, Additional IGP Ali Amir Malik, Counter-Terrorism Department Additional IGP Muhammad Tahir Rai, Information Technology Deputy IG Zulfiqar Hameed and PITB Director General Faisal Yousaf, Sajid Latif, Waqar Naeem and other senior officers were also present.
