UCP to confer degrees upon nearly 1,500 students on convocation ceremony

The 21st convocation of the University of Central Punjab (UCP) will be held tomorrow (Thursday) at Expo Centre, Lahore.

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar will grace the occasion with his presence as chief guest. Xian International Studies University President Professor Wang Junzhe will attend the ceremony as guest of honour.

A total of 1,459 young graduates will receive their degrees. BS Psychology student Sadia Iqbal will be awarded Roll of Honour on her outstanding performance and Waqar Jamshed will receive Certificate of Merit. Some 84 position holders will get awarded with gold, silver and bronze medals. Further, 248 MS/MPhil students and three PhDs will be receiving degrees too.
