Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has pledged to continue resistance against terrorism.
In his message on the fourth anniversary of the attack on Army Public School (APS) Peshawar, Bilawal said that blood of innocent children would continue to haunt the entire nation until the monster of terrorism, along with its sponsors and facilitators, was completely wiped out from the country.
The PPP chairman said that the terrorists had made the whole country as well as the world weep on this day four years ago through their ghastly attack on the innocent children. “Pakistan and its people continue to grieve and we stand by the bereaved parents and families in solidarity even today,” he added.
PPP chairman said his stance against the blood-thirsty beasts had finally been adopted by everyone in the country. “All those who were martyred in the gruesome attack on APS that day were national heroes and heroines and while we salute them we also pledge that their sacrifices will not go in vain,” he added.
Paying tributes to victims of APS, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari urged the party leaders to visit their families to express complete solidarity with them.
On this day four years ago the young students, the teachers and staff of the APS, Peshawar bore the brunt of the tyrants and religious fanatics. After the tragic incident, the Pakistan Army launched Zarb e Azb to weed out terrorism. This was categorised as one of the most successful operations carried out in the Global War on Terror (GWOT). A National Action Plan (NAP) was also devised to effectively tackle the menace of terrorism across the country; Pakistan also established military courts after the brutal carnage which operate till this day.
