ISLAMABAD: The President of the Civilian Employees Housing Society(Sawan Gardens) Ansar Gondal , who is in police custody on the charges of swindling a citizen, is trying to hide behind his sickness as he has become the victim of many diseases all of a sudden.
The court handed him over to the police on a 14 -day judicial remand, but before reaching Adiala jail his palpitation of heart became fast and his sugar level fell down. The doctors and medical experts at PIMS allowed him only one night’s stay at the hospital but the next morning they sent him to the jail.
On the other hand, Ratta Amral Police Station Rawalpindi has also given an application in the court of the Sessions Judge for giving his physical remand of the accused.
He is wanted by Punjab Police in a case No 548 registered against him for giving a bogus cheque of Rs 50 million to a citizen.
It is very much likely that Rawalpindi Police might get the physical remand of the accused Gondal on Monday.
The accused tried his best to get some relief in the name of his illness during police custody and the doctors also made him a guest in the hospital overnight but on the intervention of the plaintiff, the Shalimar Police has accomplished his medical check-up at PIMS and conveyed him to the jail.
It is pertinent to mention here that separate inquiries are also under way on a large scale by the FIA as well as the police against the Secretary General of the housing society Yasir Mehdi. Whereas two cases were also registered against President Ansar
Gondal .
Both the officials had embezzled more than Rs 5 billion on account of bogus allotment to the citizens and selling reserved plots for public service amenities by declaring them as residential plots in the housing society.
