KARACHI: Thirty new cases of dengue fever have been reported in the city this week, the provincial health department says on Sunday.
According to the Dengue Prevention & Control Program’s weekly report, these cases were reported between Jan 15 and Jan 21. Last week 13 cases were reported in the city. “There were 30 new dengue cases were reported this week from all districts of the city,” the report said. According to Dr Masood Solangi, the head of Dengue Prevention & Control Program said that apart from Karachi, three new cases had been reported in Hyderabad while two each in Tharparkar and Umer Kot. During the 2017, 50 new dengue cases have been reported in the province so far, the report concluded.
