The ambassador and the governor discussed matters pertaining to mutual interests, particularly those related to partnership in economy, trade and finance.
The ambassador said that Russia welcomes the determination of Pakistani government to promptly respond to economic challenges of the country, including energy crisis. “Our companies are ready to render their services, besides others, in mineral exploration and training personnel for oil and gas industries of Pakistan,” he added.
Imran Ismail appreciated the gesture of the Russian government and assured the ambassador of maximum possible coordination and cooperation in this regard.
Separately, Federal Minister for Petroleum Ghulam Sarwar Khan called on Imran Ismail at Governor’s House.
The minister discussed matters pertaining to gas supply in detail and said that necessary measures wer being adopted to overcome the existing gas shortage.
He said that transmission and distribution system was also being upgraded to ensure uninterrupted supply of gas to consumers.
The minister also briefed the governor about his meeting with CM held earlier in the day.
