RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the elite Strike Corps at Multan Garrison on Monday.

While laying a floral wreath at Yadgar-e Shuhada, he offered Fatiha for the martyrs. The corps commander briefed Bajwa on operational readiness of the troops.

Later, while addressing the soldiers and officers, the COAS appreciated troops’ vigilance in the ongoing counter-terrorism operations. He specifically praised them for simultaneously keeping themselves trained and prepared to thwart challenges of conventional war.

Bajwa said that the soldiers of Pakistan Army are the best in the world. “I am proud to be the COAS of a brave and highly professional Army,” he said.

Our counter-terrorism experience has made us battle-hardened, which was a valued add-on. He directed the officers and soldiers to keep themselves fully fit and well-informed to counter all types of threats.

Soldiers freely interacted with the COAS and expressed their pride and eagerness to selflessly serve the country and the nation.
