Former PM Raja Pervaiz accused of illegal construction

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader and former prime minister of Pakistan Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has reportedly illegally grabbed public space for his personal security.

According to information, former PM Raja Pervaiz Ashraf living in F-8/4 area, established a barrier for his personal security causing hindrance for passersby to commute. The information further added that the premier had established a guardroom on green belt violating the rules and regulations of the civic agency.

According to Capital Development Authority (CDA)’s rules and regulations, every resident living in the capital is bound to establish a green belt adjacent to their construction but the premier has destroyed the green belt by establishing a guardroom.

The information further added that the premier had established a barrier illegally in Main Street against the rules and regulation of CDA.

An official of the enforcement department while talking exclusively to Daily Times that on the special directives of the Pakistan Supreme Court notice will be served to the premier on vacating public space under the umbrella of security constraints.

Raja Pervaiz remained unavailable for comment.
