CJP seeks report on murder of woman, daughter in Jahania

The Supreme Court on Sunday summoned a report from top police officer of the Punjab on the killing of a mother and her daughter, who were gunned down by opponents in court premises of Jahania, a periphery area of Multan.

Taj Bibi,55, her daughter Asma Bibi were shot dead when they were returning after attending the court proceedings where Taj Bibi’s husband murder trial was under adjudication on Saturday.

Taking suo-moto notice over the footage viral on social media, the chief justice issued a directive to the Punjab Police chief to submit a report within three days.
