ANP goes to court over diversion of uplift funds

PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) Torghar would move court against diversion of development funds to other parts of province.

“Ex-CM Amir Haider Khan Hoti had sanctioned a development package of Rs 4 billion for Torghar but Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government diverted these funds to anywhere in province against which we are going to challenge in court of law,” Shahzad Shah the district president of ANP told a press conference on Monday.

Shah, who is also Tehsil nazim in Kundar said that Chief Minister Pervez Khattak had after assuming office in 2013 diverted funds to his native Nowshera district and other parts of province leaving people of Torghar with no other option but to move court against it.
