Karachi Mayor Wasim Akhtar said that the residents of Orangi Town were facing many problems including water and sewerage.

MPA Sadaqat Hussain, chairman district West Izhar Ahmed Khan, UC Chairman Shakeel Ahmed Imam and others also spoke on this occasion and said that sewerage problems of more than five UCs of Orangi were now solved because of this pipeline. “However, in past no attention was given to the problems of Orangi which have big population and the Mayor WasimAkhtar had won the hearts of people by doing this work in Orangi Town,” said the speakers.

He said that ten months ago it was even hard to pass through these streets due to sewage water overflow which stayed in the area and created ugly conditions.” We knew the basic problems of this area and the people of this area have this right that their problems are solved on priority basis,” he said.
Karachi mayor said that construction of roads would begin shortly after the sewage line was installed. He maintained that the resources of KMC were distributed to all parts of the city on equal basis so that every area received its fair share.
