LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Siraj-ul-Haq on Sunday stated the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) government honeymoon period is over and now its time for them to deliver on their promises.
While addressing a ceremony, the JI chief said the government had made many announcements but it failed to deliver, adding that philosophy of this government is to take U-turns.

He also raised questions about what steps has the government taken in the past four months towards making the country like the state of Medina and said that everyone is worried regarding the downfall of rupee against US dollar.
The JI leader further criticized the on going anti-encroachments drives in Karachi and Lahore, adding that at least six thousand homes have been destroyed in the name of illegal encroachment.

He further said that their party has not decided to start a movement yet but it will represent the public in voicing their problems.
Moreover, the government had announced to provide relief to the people but failed, the JI leader added.
