KARACHI: Sindh Government has asked the federal interior ministry to take serious action against manufacturing of illegal arms factories in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that are being transported directly into Sindh province, especially in Karachi.
The Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah informed the house that the provincial government is working to strictly control the spread of illegal arms in the province. The Apex Committee in its January 2nd meeting has taken some important decisions in this regard.
The law enforcement agencies have recovered about 900 illegal weapons, of these 750 arms were manufactured in Dara Adam Khel. In this connection, we have written a letter to the federal interior ministry to stop manufacturing of illegal arms factories in Dara Adam Khel of KPK, Murad said, “We want to stop the arrival of illegal arms under any condition because these weapons used in killing of innocent people.”
“The arms have been manufactured in Dara Adam Khel should only be made for the purpose of security forces demands only and it should not make available for common people.”
Murad lauded the MQM lawmaker for moving the resolution that has its importance and the Sindh government will not oppose the resolution.
