ISLAMABAD: Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and across the world will observe the Indian Republic Day as black day on Thursday.

According to media reports, the call for observance of the black day has been given by the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.

The aim of observing this day is to convey to the world that India has denied the people of Jammu and Kashmir their inalienable right to self-determination.

The day will be marked with a complete strike in Indian occupied Kashmir and demonstrations and rallies against Indian occupation across the world.
