216 criminals arrested; police recover drugs, illegal weapons

Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) arrested 216 culprits including 68 proclaimed offenders, two court absconders and recovered valuables, drugs as well as illegal weapons from their possession during the last one week.

According to details, PHP teams arrested 68 proclaimed offenders and two court absconders namely Mazhar, Sajid, Sardar, Bin Yameen, Saeed Ahmed, Sooba Khan, Arshad, Ashraf, Shafiq, Sajjad, Shah Jahan, Attiqur Rahman, Abubakar, Ghulam Abbas, Fayyaz Ahmed, Sadiq, Nadeem, Khalid, Maula Bakhsh, Ghulam Farid, Faisal and Riaz.

Similarly, the PHP teams also arrested 84 culprits including Babar Ali, Tariq, Ali Abbas, Ashiq, Tauqir, Ab Jabbar, Safdar, Wazira, Awais, Ashraf, Asghar, Asmatullah, Bahadur, Akhtar, Younas, Saifullah, Shair, Shaukat, Rizwan, Asad and others by taking into possession 721 litres of liquor, 36,780 grammes of hashish, 1,682 grammes of heroin from them.

The PHP patrolling police has arrested 64 culprits namely Ikram, Khadim Hussain, Taj, Majid, Bahadur Khan, Amir, Habib, Imran, Riaz, Jamshed, Ahmad, Nawaz, Waqas, Iqbal, Saifullah, Zaman, Zia and Sagheer for possessing illegal arms and recovered 49 pistols, five Kalashnikovs, three rifles, nine guns, 26 cartridges and 202 bullets from their possession.
