Dispute over Kashmir

Author: Daily Times

Sir: I would to draw the attention through the columns of your esteemed newspaper about dispute between Pakistan and India over Kashmir. It has been decades that Pakistanis and Indians had been fighting.

The Kashmir conflict is the territorial conflict between India and Pakistan, having started just after the partition of India in 1947. In 1965, India and Pakistan fought their second of three major wars since 1947 over Kashmir. Many civilians were killed during the war.

Even few days ago two civilians were killed in Kashmir border skirmishes. India and Pakistan blame each other for initiating cross-border shelling that killed a man and his daughter and a dozen people injured in the disputed Kashmir region as Indian Pakistan exchanged fire over there de facto border.

I would like to request the Government of Pakistan that please stop fighting over Kashmir because of this many innocent civilians are dying.
