I have fallen to the ground at times
Skinned my knees
But it was the part when I thought
That it’s all a part of growing up
Strengthening me for the tests that the future may hold
Braved storms to get where I am now
Who I am now
Oh Lord
How can I forget
That I could have not made it till here without you
And I’m so grateful to you my Lord.
It’s as if my gratitude towards you,
Is beyond my words,
Which seem so small before the real feeling
I’m grateful to you for everything
And most importantly,
For bestowing me with the blessing
Of knowing
How to express all my feelings to you through the pen.
This pen,
Is the most refreshing objects in my life
A relief
And above all that
This pen
Is a spiritual bond with you, my Lord
The world is harsh.
But this is my test
I know,
And I am patient
Oh Lord!
Please see,
How grateful and patientI am
Before,
All the cruelties of this world
As I know.
That you are there with me,
Oh Lord,
I am standing patiently.
Not replying, nor fighting
With the oppressors in this cruel world
For I pray that you don’t overlook
How I’m not giving into Satan
By responding to them as they provoke me each time
Sealing my lips
Because I know,
Oh Lord,
That when you’re light is with me,
The oppressors cannot harm me,
No matter how hard they try
