KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Friday asked Chief justice of Pakistan to take notice of what it termed the media trial of PPP’s leadership in violation of the Supreme Court’s (SC) orders.
Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar in a statement said the SC had clearly directed to ensure transparent and effective inquiry and no member of the Joint Investigation Committee (JIT) or Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) would disclose any information to the media.
Mustafa Nawaz stated that sources within JIT were openly being quoted on various talk shows and media outlets to speculate on the ongoing inquiry.
The ongoing speculation is clearly being done with a malafide agenda to twist the facts and to malign the PPP leadership and create confusion in the minds of the general public,” he said.
