LARKANA: The Larkana District Council on Thursday approved budget for 2016-17 in Larkana during meeting held at the District Council Hall. Chairing the budget session, Chairman Khan Muhammad Sangroo told the members that a total amount of Rs 1,33,15,71,000 will be the income while the Sindh government will provide Rs 1,58,35,000. He added that Rs13,20,76,000 will be collected under the head of OZT. The chairman further said that a grant of Rs1,12,80,00,000 will be received while another special grant of Rs 5.50,00,000 is also expected. He said that Rs 6,60,000 will be collected in rent & tax during the year. For non-development works, an amount of Rs 62,03,39,800 has been earmarked in the budget while for development works Rs 71,10,00,000 has been reserved, he added.
