Lahore under tight security!

Punjab government and law enforcers once again beefed up security arrangements across the province as well as in the provincial metropolis on Saturday.

The Punjab government has also imposed section 144 across the province as well as in the city. Police did not allow any religious or political party to violate the law, saying that if any person belonging to any party create problems or got involved in any disturbance, than the guilty person would be sent behind bars immediately.

The Lahore police hierarchy deputed specially trained snipers on the rooftops of buildings located adjacent to all important and public places across the city. Police high ups also called special troops of Elite Police Force for round the clock patrolling in all sensitive declared areas. On the other hand, the personnel deputed at city’s police stations were also directed for keeping a vigilant eye at all crowded places situated in their respective jurisdictions. Operations Deputy Inspector General Muhammad Waqas Nazir said that the overall law and order situation of the city was under control. He added that section 144 was also imposed across the city to maintain law and order situation. He said that police security was also beefed up at all entry and exit points of the city and other important areas.

He said that to maintain law and order situation across the city, police would strictly deal with trouble makers.

The DIG also directed all divisional superintendents of police, DSPs and station house officers to review security arrangements of sensitive installations in their respective areas. Citizens can move anywhere in the city without any hesitation. Police will take stern action for creating any law and order situation by anyone. Police reserves are ready to face any circumstances. Section 144 will be implemented 100 percent in the city.

He directed all officers that during the present situation, a little bit of negligence will cause major damage to the law and order situation of the city so all officers should be vigilant and remain in the field in their respective areas until further orders.
