KARACHI: Karachi has become a hub of problems due to the continuous ignorance by the elected representatives and stakeholders of the metropolis. The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has taken up the development program of the city keeping in view the prevailing mess.

“Bringing peace to Karachi is a great achievement of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif,” PML-N, Sindh, Secretary General and Senator Nehal Hashmi told a press conference in Karachi on Friday.

Law enforcement agencies have rendered sacrifices for restoring law and order in the metropolis. The PML-N government has brought peace to the city by spreading the message of affection and admiration. Now, the federal government is concentrating on the city’s development, Senator Nehal added.

The PML-N has launched a campaign to contact people and would organise rallies and worker conventions in Karachi and other parts of the province.

The PML-N, Karachi chapter, will organise the ‘Thank You Nawaz’ rally today (Saturday) from North Karachi to Lasbela. A large public gathering will also be held very soon in the city, he informed.

We have established camps at the powerhouse roundabout in North Karachi in connection with the ‘Thank You Nawaz’ rally. The transport issue faced by the city is going to be resolved soon after the launching of the Green Line Project. The project will reduce 70 percent of commuting issues, adding, the project is funded by the federal government.

All the political parties should collectively work for the development of Karachi, setting aside their differences. PML-N is restoring peace and tranquility in the city. The Senator said they won’t do politics on public issues. Responding to a query, he said that Imran Khan is not into constructive politics but is performing destructive politics, dreaming to become the country’s prime minister.

He claimed that the PTI chief will not become Prime Minister even after the 2018 general elections. He advised the PTI leader to participate in positive politics for the betterment of country.
