Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari asked the people to reflect on the message of the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) and to fashion their lives in accordance with his teachings.
He said this in a message on the auspicious occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi on Wednesday. “On this auspicious day while we rejoice we should also reflect on how far we have deviated from his message of tolerance, understanding and compassion” “The Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) would never have preached violence in his name,” said Bilawal. He also called for a condemnation of recent violence.
“On this occasion let us also pray to Allah to guide us to understand the true message of love, tolerance and humility taught by the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) and to follow it in letter and spirit”. “The need for this has never been as great as it is today,” said the PPP chairman. “May Allah give us the wisdom and guide us on the path to dedicate ourselves to his teachings and rekindle our souls with the light,” he prayed.
