KP Assembly demands ban on porn, vulgar websites

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on Friday adopted resolution and demanded the federal government and Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to ban the porn and vulgar website on internet.

On Friday the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly session resumed under chairmanship of Speaker Asad Qaiser and Pakistan People’s Party member Fakhr-e-Azam Wazir presented the resolution. The resolution was signed by MPA Aurangzeb Nalota, Sardar Hussain Babak, Anisa Zeb Tahirkhali and Gula Sahib.

Fakhar-e-Azam Wazir said that because of vulgar and porn websites the use of internet among youth increased. He further added and requested the Federal Government and PTA to take strict action and immediately stopped and banned those websites.

Another resolution was presented by Jamat-e-Islami member Muhammad Ali and demanding the federal government to Roet-e-Hilal Committee to function it in all districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and across the country and zonal committee should be constituted.

MPA Uzma said on the floor of the house that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Care Commission bill was passed from the provincial assembly and there mega irregularities were notice in the recruitment. He added that all the staff including the director of the HCC was made on the personal contact and rules violation and irregularities were made during the recruitment.

He added that Inquiry Committee which was made under the chairmanship of Secretary Health and the committee accepted the irregularities but no strict action was taken for the last many months. The speaker demanded to submit application as the MPA boycotted from the session which were latter again join the session.

In a question answers session of the assembly Mufti Janan of JUI-F said that around 318 tube-well were non-functional in the province. He said that for the last six months he requesting the concern department to reply but there was no satisfied answer was submitted by the department.

The assembly passed the resolution and privileged notice was send to the concern department.

On the occasion Special Advisor to the CM on Information and Higher Education Mushtaq Ghani said and requested that the application should be send to the privileged committee.

Speaker Asad Qaiser said that he already discusses this issue with Chief Secretry and the entire concern department will submit their reply otherwise they will face the action.

The Assembly Session was made like a fish market when opposition leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Sardar Aurangzeb Nalota said and criticized the PTI government over the distribution of development fund. He added that opposition leader were not given equal fund while the CM and other few ministers were taking all the developmental funds which were not sincerity with the people of KP.

Mushtaq Ghani of PTI criticized the Punjab government and said that they were utilizing the entire developmental fund in Lahore and ignoring rest of Punjab.
