The Awami National Party(ANP) Khyber chapter on Saturday organised a protest rally against the abduction, killing of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police superintendent Tahir Dawar earlier this week.

Scores of the party workers participated in the rally outside the Landi Kotal Press Club. Participants were holding placards inscribed with slogans against the killing of the police officer.

Speaking on the occasion, ANP leaders, including Manzoor Afridi and Sher Asghar Afridi categorically condemned the brutal murdering of the SP Tahir Dawar in Afghanistan after his abduction from Islamabad, putting a question mark on the performance of the incumbent government of Pakistan. The protesters demanded the government to apprehended killers of Tahir Dawar and Maulanan Samiul Haq and beef up security measures.

Later, they dispersed peacefully.
