Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa Saturday called the provincial capital of Sindh the engine of national economy and stressed the need to further improve its security environment so that positive business trajectory is maintained, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The COAS visited the headquarters of Pakistan Rangers Sindh where he was briefed on the security situation in the province. DG Rangers Sindh briefed the army chief on law and order situation in Karachi. The COAS lauded the efforts of Sindh Rangers and all other law enforcing agencies for the improved security environment. “Karachi is engine of national economy and we shall further improve its security environment so that positive business trajectory is maintained,” he said on the occasion.
The army chief was accompanied by Karachi Commander Corps Lieutenant General Humayun Aziz.
