Sir: The news that initially five shelter homes will be established in the provincial capital as a pilot project and the foundation stone of the first shelter home has been established near Lahore Railway Station is a welcome step and sheds light on the fact that the PTI-led government is bent upon paying special attention to facilitate the common man and hence taking projects like shelter homes to facilitate homeless people. The underlying purpose behind establishing these shelter homes is to provide the lodging facility to poor people who visit Lahore.

It is pertinent to mention here that these shelter homes being constructed at Lahore will be a state of the art where travelers will be provided with other facilities and its working capacity will be extended to other cities as well.

The decision by the Punjab government to establish shelter homes deserves credit and appreciation and provides evidence that welfare of common man is the top priority of the government and prosperity and development of the masses is continued with new vision and determination and will pave the way not only for the socio-economic development of the country but for individual prosperity as well.
