LAHORE: Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed on Saturday said that the railway land will be recovered no matter how influential a person is occupying it.

Sheikh Rasheed while speaking to a press conference said that he will personally ensure the recovery of encroached railways land in Karachi.

The minister has previously spoken about encroachments on railways land in various other cities too.

Earlier the day, the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) ordered to take steps to immediately revive the Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) project and clear all encroachments on Railways land in the metropolis.

The court ordered authorities to clear all railways tracks in the metropolis and encroachments on land owned by Pakistan Railways with the help of the deputy commissioner.
