RAWALPINDI: A man was killed on road when a motorcyclist hit him while crossing the road within Kahuta police jurisdiction.

Syed Anwar lodged a complaint with the local police stating that his cousin Syed Ajmal was going to a local market when a speeding motorcyclist hit him from behind and he succumbed to injuries on the spot while motorcyclist fled the scene. The body was shifted to District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) for medico-legal formalities. The police have registered a case and started investigation. Separately, a man died after roof of a mud house collapsed due to heavy rains near Moti Mahal. According to media reports, the victim, identified as Musa, 40, resident of Attock, was inside the house located alongside Nullah Lai near Shangrilla hotel. The dilapidated roof of this mud house caved in and he died on the spot. Rescue 1122 retrieved the body that was trapped under the debris. According to police the deceased was a drug addict that was also confirmed by his family. The body was handed over to his relatives after medico-legal formalities. Meanwhile, a young boy mysteriously died in his friend’s house within Karachi Company police jurisdiction. The police said Zahid Mehmood 23 a resident of Murid Kay came to Islamabad to view snow fall scene in Murree with his friends and stayed in Sector G-13 with a friend. The police said at midnight his health condition seriously deteriorated and he was brought to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences for treatment where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. The police have registered a case and started investigation.
