Two killed in Karachi blast

At least two people were killed and 10 others injured when a powerful explosion hit the Quaidabad area of Karachi on Friday.

Malir SSP Irfan Bahadur said the blast took place under the Quaidabad flyover near a crowded area.

He said the police were trying to ascertain the exact nature and cause of the explosion.

The injured were shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC). Dr Seemi Jamali at the JPMC confirmed the death toll. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah took notice of the incident and sought a report from the additional inspector general of police.
