AIOU expedites books’ mailing process for its students

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) expedited on Wednesday, books’ mailing process to its students for the current semester of autumn, 2018 by using state-of-the art technology.

On the initiative of AIOU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Nasir Mahmood, the university’s Mailing Department took some extra measures to undertake the job on fast-track basis.

This aimed at giving maximum study-period to the students, enabling them to timely complete their academic assignments.

The department has so far dispatched text books to its over 220,000 students of Matriculation, FA and BA programmes.

As per details, books have been sent to 50,000 students of Matric programme, 70,000 students of FA and 100,000 students of BA programme.

Books and other allied materials of BEd will start today (Thursday).

According to the department, a new computerised tracking system has been introduced, facilitating the students to check the books’ mailing status.

A computerised tracking system has also been developed through which the student using website can simply enter his/her roll number and registration number to track the mailing package.

The students have been advised to contact their relevant post offices in case of delay in the books’ delivery.
