ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Tuesday condemned the brutal murder of police officer Tahir Khan Dawar.

In a statement, Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, spokesperson for PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, said: “It is an extremely worrying development that a policeman went missing from the capital then his dead body was found in Afghanistan. He questioned how Afghanistan-based militants could kidnap a senior Pakistani officer from Islamabad.

“This speaks volumes about the level of our security. The government of Pakistan and Interior Ministry must answer how that happened. Such incidents are not just a blow to our country’s security but directly affect the morale of our valiant police force,” added Senator Khokhar.
