Eight outlaws held; hashish, wine seized

Islamabad Police have arrested eight outlaws from various areas of the city and seized hashish, heroin, wine and weapons from their possession.

According to details, Sihala police arrested accused Abdul Waheed and seized 1,060 grams of hashish from him. Another accused Abid Hussain was also arrested and 20 bottles of wine were seized from him.

The Tarnol police arrested two alleged drug pushers namely Farooq and Inzamam Asghar and seized 400 grams of heroin from them. Police also arrested Yasir, Nasir and Zia and seized one 12 bore rifle and two 30 bore pistols along with ammunition from them.

The Noon police arrested Abdul Sohaib and seized 300 grams of heroin from him.

Cases have been registered against the nabbed persons and further investigation is underway.

Islamabad SSP Waqar-ud-Din Syed has directed all the station house officers to launch crackdown against all those involved in drug peddling activities. He also asked for renewed efforts to curb such practices and rid the society of these menaces. He said performance of all the SHOs in this regard will be reviewed on continuous basis.
