KARACHI: Sindh Rangers recovered 4 four-wheel vehicles, 11 motorcycles and 21 cell phones and handed them over to their actual owners during an event held at Rangers Headquarters on Friday.
Rangers handed over vehicles to their actual owners after checking original documents. The owners of the valuables appreciated the performance of the Sindh Rangers and thanked them for their services on the occasion.
According to Ranger spokesman, four-wheel vehicles, motorcycles and cell phones had been snatched and stolen from various parts of Karachi by criminal groups and the recovery of these items was made possible after multiple raids by Sindh Rangers.
Meanwhile, Sindh Rangers claimed that they conducted multiple raids in various parts of the city and apprehended seven suspected outlaws including an extortionist.
According to the Rangers official, raids were conducted in Clifton, New Karachi,Surjani Town, Nazimabad and Lyari and an extortionist Fahim alias Chuna affiliated with the Lyari gang war group was arrested from Kalakot area.
Meanwhile, security personnel claimed that they arrested a drug peddler from Clifton and four rioters from New Karachi and Surjani Town and recovered weapons, drugs and other valuable goods from their possession.
Moachko police claimed that they foiled smuggling of cell phones, non-customs paid foreign brands cigarettes cartons, Indian Gukta, betel nuts from Quetta to Karachi. According to police officials, police detained a private courier company van based on an intelligence tip-off and recovered cell phones and cigarette cartons from it.
Meanwhile, police also recovered a large quantity of quality betel nuts and Indian Gutka after checking a passenger bus and a truck.
