The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday issued notices to 66 political parties, asking them to submit details of their expenditure and donations received during the elections 2018 campaign by November 18.

“Election symbols of all those parties will be withdrawn that do not submit the required details,” warned the ECP.

Notices have been issued to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Pakistan People’s Party, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, Awami National Party, Balochistan Awami Party, Balochistan National Party, Jamaat-e-Islami, Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl and Sunni Ittehad Council among others.

Ninety five out of 120 registered political parties took part in the elections.

It is pertinent to note that every political party is liable to submit the aforementioned details to ECP according to election act 2017.
