Farhan wins National Senior Squash Championship

ISLAMABAD: Farhan Mehboob defeated his younger brother Waqar Mehboob in the final to win the National Senior Squash Championship, organised by KP Squash Association, at PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex in Peshawar on Sunday. Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Athar Shams, Commanding Officer Northern Air Command, was the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony. Both Farhan and Waqar played well and some good nick, drops and forceful smashes were also witnessed. Farhan, who is in peak form nowadays, dominated the proceedings with his calculated game. Farhan made little mistakes as against Waqar who paid the penalty. The score-line was 11-7, 11-8 and 11-9. “I am working hard on my fitness and eager to improve my overall ranking, Farhan told media in his post final comments. A total of 32 players took part in the championship.
