ISLAMABAD: The number of pending cases in the Islamabad High Court has exceeded 14000 despite the disposal of 7513 cases last year. Due to the increasing number of cases not only the number of litigants and visitors has got bigger but the problems of the people havealso swelled. Another problem is the lack of space inthe record room of the court. The official keeps the old record on thefloor, which causes great trouble when tracing some files. The loss of files has become a routine. Due to lack of room in the court, people have to wait outside the court in the hard weather. The Divisional Bench disposed of some 1338 caseslast year. Justice Amir Farooq had remained on top in respect of disposal of cases with 1338 cases, while Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb has disposed of the lowest number with only 446 cases during the year 2106.
