NAB arrests top executive over ‘corruption’

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday arrested Chief Executive Officer of the Husnain Construction Company (Pvt) Ltd over his alleged involvement in corruption.

According to details, Ramzan Sheikh is accused of embezzling funds allocated for the construction of road from Peshawar to Dera Ismail Khan and violating the code of conduct designated for the project.

It is to be mentioned here that the anti-graft body, during executive board meeting presided over by Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal, had approved inquiry against Sheikh Ramzan. Afterwards, the interior ministry was asked to place name of the accused on the exit control list (ECL).
