District Administration recovers 164 kanals of state land from different parts of the city

District Administration Lahore has retrieved 164 kanals of occupied state land from different parts of the provincial capital.

The estimated cost of the retrieved land is Rs 341 million. Reportedly, Lahore district administration led all the operations while Police, Revenue, Lahore Development Authority (LDA) and MCL officials also took part in the operations which were carried out on Thursday. Lahore Deputy Commissioner Saliha Saeed remained in touch with all the assistant commissioners throughout the operations.

As per details, assistant commissioner (AC) Ali Akbar carried out a land retrieval operation in Taj Pura and demolished seven shops worth ten million. In Tehsil Cantt, AC Umer Hayat Gondal conducted an operation in village Dulla Kulla and retrieved as many as 145 Kanals occupied state land worth over Rs150 m. Similarly, in Tehsil Model Town, Model Town AC Mazhar Ali conducted a land retrieval operation in Mauza Dillu Kalan and retrieved as many as 18 Kanals of state land worth Rs181 m.

Moreover, City AC Safdar Virk carried out a land retrieval operation in Miani Sahib and retrieved 28 marlas of land, demolished five houses and one workshop. The recovered land was then handed over to the administration of Miani Sahib. Lahore DC Saliha Saeed appreciated all operations and affirmed that the district administration would conduct an impartial operation in all parts of the city.
