Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Wednesday lashed out at former president Asif Ali Zardari, saying that he has no chance to become famous now.

The minister was responding to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman’s Monday statement wherein he said that his arrest would only make him popular. He said that Zardari should not be taken seriously as he was in a state of mental shock.

Separately, Fawad Hussain said that Captain Zargham Fareed, who was martyred in Mohmand district, had offered a supreme sacrifice for the defence of motherland and security of its people.

The minister paid a rich tribute to the martyred officer and said the brave armed forces of Pakistan were rendering great sacrifices for defending the country and they were pride of the nation.

The 25-year old, Captain Zargham Fareed, embraced martyrdom and Sepoy Rehan, another member of the bomb disposal team, was critically injured while neutralising an improvised explosive device (IED) at Mohmad Gat in Mohmand district on Wednesday.
