Diwali, festival of lights, unites different faith people at an event

HYDERABAD: Diwali, the festival of lights, continues to attract people from different faiths to gather diverse societies and share knowledge besides knowing about each other and how to respect everyone in the society.

In Bhittai Nagar, Kalpna, resident of a small town of Hyderabad, with her two Muslims colleagues decorated her waranda with the colors rangooli to mark the festival of lights, Diwali.

Sateej, a student of Environmental Sceince shared that rather to waste large quantity of money to buy crackers to pollute the society, let’s make a plan for green Pakistan. He added that with the passage of time the ratio of crackers cart is being increased, their high rates are not accessible, but a small plant with ease.

Sarwan Khoso, Kotri based youth activist, said that he has called his Hindu friends for tea party to make new relations by celebrating such festivals without any discrimination.

The Hindu community of Hyderabad and across the Sindh was busy doing preparations for the Diwali. The biggest Diwali celebration will be held at Circuit House Temple Hyderabad along with similar programs at other temples in the surroundings.
